The ConvergenceHealth Total Health Grade is the most complete assessment of your overall health on the Internet. It provides an accurate, thorough and detailed picture of your total health status and the elements that contribute to your health. These elements currently include fitness, nutrition, stress/coping, safety, heart health, and cancer resistance. Once you’ve answered the many questions, the assessment generates a Total Health Score and several sub-scores that allow you to compare yourself to others. You can also retake the test periodically as you implement your personalized recommendations to see how your health has improved.
Like a traditional health risk assessment, or “HRA,” the ConvergenceHealth Total Health Grade weighs the many factors that affect your risk for disease and produces a numerical score that allows you to see how your risks compare with the average person. Unlike a health risk assessment, however, the ConvergenceHealth Total Health Grade includes many unconventional factors that affect not only your risk of disease, but also your longevity and quality of life.
We designed the assessment so that, for the Total Health Score and each of the sub-scores, the maximum score is 100, while the average score for the entire population is 65. (As we gather more data on individual population groups, we will provide information on average scores and their distribution by age, sex, ethnic group, etc.) In general, people with higher scores are healthier, tend to live longer, are less susceptible to disease and have a higher quality of life. It thus makes sense to try and raise your Total Health Score and each of the sub-scores.
To calculate your scores, we use the latest research on the many factors that affect health, updating frequently as new data become available. Our proprietary algorithms weigh each of these factors according to the degree to which they affect your overall health and each of the specific sub-areas of your health. These weightings are based on hard data from hundreds of scientific studies that look at the effects of these factors on longevity and quality of life.
Future updates to the ConvergenceHealth Total Health Grade will provide additional sub-scores that will enable you to analyze your health in more detail. Check back periodically, both to see how your own score changes as you implement your personalized health improvement recommendations, and to gain a more in-depth picture of your health as we enhance the ConvergenceHealth Total Health Grade.
